Apel solidarnosti s borbom radnika poduzeća Jadrankamen u Hrvatskoj
Radnici kamenoloma u Pučišćima na otoku Braču bore se za opstanak poduzeća Jadrankamen, koje je kriminalom uprave doveden pred stečaj. Dok se nije provodila nikakva modernizacija i ulaganje u strojeve, novac je konstantno izvlačen i usmjeravan prema privatnim džepovima, u skladu s privatnim vezama kapitala i političkih struktura. Zahvaljujući tome poduzeće s jedinstvenim proizvodom – jer od bračkog kamena je primjerice napravljen i parlament u Beču i Bijela kuća u Washingtonu – nalazi se pred ponorom.
Radnici Jadrankamena predvođeni sindikatom odlučili su se tome svim silama i svim raspoloživim sredstvima oduprijeti. Odlučili su onemogućiti svaku buduću malverzaciju, odnošenje vrijednosti iz poduzeća, te krojenje budućnosti iza njihovih leđa i nasuprot interesima razvoja proizvodnje. Zbog toga su se organizirali i preuzeli kontrolu nad poduzećem, uspostavili radničke straže, te oko cilja zaštite Jadrankamena angažirali čitavo mjesto.
U više navrata u Jadrankamen su poslani stečajni upravitelji čiji interes nije bio nastavak proizvodnje i zaštita radničkih interesa. Radnici su to prepoznali i odlučili onemogućiti njihovo djelovanje, te ulazak u prostore poduzeća. U prvom takvom slučaju država je veoma brzo reagirala angažiranjem interventne policije : tokom noći na Pučišća je izvršeno iskrcavanje 200 pripadnika specijalne policije koji su se ujutro sukobili s radnicima. Prije nekoliko dana, uviđajući da niti nova stečajna upraviteljica ne radi u interesu zadržavanja proizvodnje, radnici su joj također onemogućili ulazak. Nakon epizode sa desantom na Pučišća, koji je izazvao javno zgražanje i osudu, kao i pritisak na Vladu, vlast je pribjegla perfidnijim mjerama. U svrhu zastrašivanja radnika uhićeni su radnički vođe Tonči Drpić, Dario Martinić, te Josip i Marko Eterović, pod optužbom pozivanja na otpor. Nakon cjelodnevnog ispitivanja pušteni su uz zabranu prilaženja stečajnoj upraviteljici, te obavezu redovitog javljanja policiji. Radnici, zajedno s mještanima, namjeravaju odlučno nastaviti borbu za spas Jadrankamena.
Radnicima Jadrankamena je prijeko potreba solidarnost i potpora europskih sindikalista i aktivista. Potrebno je da se vijesti o njihovoj borbi, te državnoj represiji s kojom se suočavaju što je moguće više proširi. Pozivamo sve radnike, sindikaliste, aktiviste socijalnih pokreta i intelektualce da potpisom uz ovaj apel iskažu solidarnost s radnicima Jadrankamena i podrže njihovu borbu!

Appel de solidarité avec les carriers de Jadrankamen en Croatie
Les ouvriers de la carrière de pierre de Pučišće, sur l’ile de Brač, se battent pour la survie de l’entreprise Jadrankamen, qui est par la gestion criminelle de la direction amenée au bord de la faillite. Pendant qu’on a délaissé la modernisation et l’investissement dans les machines, l’argent de la caisse est constamment sorti et dirigé vers les poches privées, en symbiose intime entre les relations privées du capital et les structures politiques. Grâce à cette configuration, l’entreprise qui a un produit unique – on a fait de la pierre de Bratch le parlement de Vienne et la Maison blanche de Washington – se trouve devant l’abîme.
Les ouvriers de Jadrankamen ont décidé sous la direction de leur syndicat de s’y opposer de toutes leurs forces et par tous les moyens disponibles. Ils ont décidé d’empêcher toute future magouille, toute sortie des valeurs de l’entreprise, toute décision concernant leur avenir qui se ferait derrière leur dos et qui serait contraire aux intérêts de la production. Dans ce but ils se sont organisés et pris le contrôle sur l’entreprise, en établissant les gardes ouvrières et soulevant toute la population du village pour la sauvegarde de Jadrankamen.
On a envoyé plusieurs fois les administrateurs provisoires pour Jadrankamen, dont l’intérêt n’était dirigé ni vers la continuation de la production, ni vers la protection des intérêts ouvriers. Les ouvriers l’ont compris et décidé d’empêcher leur agissement, de même que leur accès dans les bureaux de l’entreprise. Dans la première tentative de ce blocage l’Etat a réagi très rapidement par l’envoi des troupes ”anti-émeute”, une sorte de CRS: en une nuit on a débarqué sur l’ile 200 membres de police spéciale qui sont entré le matin en conflit avec les gardes ouvrières. En voyant, il y a quelques jours, que la nouvelle administratrice judiciaire ne fait pas plus le cas du maintien de la production que ses prédécesseurs, les ouvriers lui ont coupé également l’accès aux locaux. Comme l’épisode précédent avec la descente policière sur Pučišće a provoqué des indignations et condamnations publiques, faisant pression sur gouvernement, cette fois-ci le pouvoir a procédé de manière plus perfide. Pour faire peur aux travailleurs, ils ont arrêté les dirigeants ouvriers Tonči Drpić, Dario Martinić et frères Josip et Marko Eterović, sous l’accusation d’appeler à la résistance au pouvoir. Après une journée d’interrogatoire ils sont relâchés, avec interdiction d’approcher l’administratrice et obligation de se signaler quotidiennement à la police. Les ouvriers, ensemble avec la population du village, comptent continuer la lutte pour la sauvegarde de Jadrankamen.
Les ouvriers de Jadrankamen ont besoin urgent de soutien et de solidarité des syndicalistes et militants ouvriers européens. Ils ont besoin que l’information sur leur lutte et la répression de l’Etat soit divulguée le plus largement possible. Nous appelons les travailleurs, syndicalistes, militants des mouvements sociaux et intellectuels de signer cet appel, manifestent leur solidarité et soutiennent la lutte des ouvriers de Jadrankamen!

Call for solidarity with the Jadrankamen quarry workers in Croatia
The workers at the Pučišće stone quarry on the Island of Brač are fighting for the survival of the Jadrankamen company, which has been brought to the verge of bankruptcy by the criminal mismanagement of those in charge. While modernisation and investment in machinery have been neglected, money in the accounts has been constantly removed and directed into private pockets in a close symbiosis between the private relations of capital and the political structures. Thanks to this configuration, the firm, which has just one product – the Vienna parliament building and the White House in Washington are built of Brač stone – is very close to the edge.
Led by their trade union, the workers of Jadrankamen have decided to oppose this with all their strength and by all available means. They have decided to prevent any future dirty dealings, every attempt to remove company property, and all decisions about their future made behind their backs and against the interests of production. With this aim they have organised themselves and taken control of the business, establishing workers’ guards and arousing the whole population of the village to safeguard Jadrankamen.
On several occasions, acting administrators have been appointed to Jadrankamen whose interests have been directed neither towards the continuation of production nor the protection of workers’ interests. The workers have understood that and decided to prevent their activities and deny them access to the company offices. During the first attempted blockade the state reacted extremely quickly, sending in the riot police: one night they landed 200 members of the special police on the island who in the morning started a fight with the workers’ guard. Having seen a few days ago that the administrator newly-appointed by the court set no more store than her predecessors in maintaining production, the workers also denied her access to the site. Since the previous episode involving police intervention in Pučišće had provoked public anger and condemnation, which put pressure on the government, on this occasion the authorities proceeded in a more underhand manner. To intimidate the working people, they arrested the leading workers Tonči Drpić, Dario Martinić and the brothers Josip and Marko Eterović, accusing them of calling for resistance to the authorities. They were released after a day of interrogation, under condition they do not go near the administrator and register daily with the police. Together with the whole population of the village, the workers intend to continue the fight to safeguard Jadrankamen.
The Jadrankamen workers have urgent need of help and solidarity from trade unionists and activists all over Europe. They need information about their struggle and state repression to be disseminated as widely as possible. We call on working people, trade unionists, social movement activists and intellectuals to sign this appeal showing their solidarity and support for the struggle of the workers of Jadrankamen.

Aufruf zur Solidarität mit dem Kampf der Arbeiter des Unternehmens Jadrankamen in Kroatien!
Die Arbeiter des Steinbruchs in Pučišći auf der Insel Brač kämpfen um die Existenz des Unternehmens Jadrankamen, das durch die Kriminalität der Verwaltung an den Rand des Konkurses geführt worden ist. Während keinerlei Modernisierung oder Investition in Maschinen durchgeführt wurde, wurde permanent Geld herausgezogen und in private Taschen gelenkt, im Einklang mit den Verbindungen zwischen Kapital und politischen Strukturen. Deswegen befindet sich ein Unternehmen mit einzigartiger Produktion – denn aus dem Stein von Brač ist zum Beispiel auch das Parlament in Wien und das Weiße Haus in Washington gemacht – vor dem Abgrund.
Die Arbeiter von Jadrankamen, angeführt von der Gewerkschaft, haben sich entschlossen, sich dem mit allen Kräften und verfügbaren Mitteln zu widersetzen. Sie haben beschlossen, jede zukünftige Unterschlagung, Wegnahme von Werten aus dem Unternehmen oder Bestimmung der Zukunft hinter ihrem Rücken und gegen die Interessen der Entwicklung der Produktion zu verunmöglichen. Deswegen haben sie sich organisiert und die Kontrolle über das Unternehmen übernommen, Arbeiterwachen aufgestellt und um dem Ziel, Jadrankamen zu schützen, den ganzen Ort engagiert.
Mehrmals wurden Konkursverwalter zu Jadrankamen geschickt, deren Ziel nicht die Weiterführung der Produktion und der Schutz der Arbeiterinteressen war. Die Arbeiter haben das erkannt und beschlossen, ihre Tätigkeit und ihren Eintritt in die Räume des Unternehmens zu verunmöglichen. Im ersten derartigen Fall hat der Staat außerordentlich schnell mit dem Einsatz der Interventionspolizei reagiert: Im Laufe der Nacht wurden 200 Angehörige der Spezialpolizei nach Pučišći gebracht, die morgens mit den Arbeitern aneinandergerieten. Vor einigen Tagen haben die Arbeiter, weil sie eingesehen haben, dass auch die neue Konkursverwalterin nicht im Interesse der Beibehaltung der Produktion arbeitet, auch ihr den Einlass verunmöglicht. Nach der Episode mit der militärischen Landung in Pučišći, an der viel Anstoß genommen und die scharf verurteilt wurde und Druck auf die Regierung auslöste, nahm die Staatsmacht Zuflucht zu perfiden Maßnahmen. Um die Arbeiter einzuschüchtern, wurden die Arbeiterführer Tonči Drpić, Dario Martinić sowie Josip und Marko Eterović mit der Anklage des Aufrufs zum Widerstand verhaftet. Nach einer ganztägigen Untersuchung wurden sie entlassen – verbunden mit dem Verbot, sich der Konkursverwalterin zu nähern, und der Auflage, sich regelmäßig bei der Polizei zu melden. Die Arbeiter und die Anwohner beabsichtigen, entschieden mit dem Kampf zur Rettung von Jadrankamen weiterzumachen.
Für die Arbeiter von Jadrankamen ist die Solidarität und Unterstützung europäischer Gewerkschafter und Aktivisten eine unumgängliche Notwendigkeit. Es ist nötig, dass die Nachrichten über ihren Kampf und die staatliche Repression, der sie sich gegenüber sehen, so weit wie möglich verbreitet werden. Wir rufen alle Arbeiter, Gewerkschafter, Aktivisten sozialer Bewegungen und Intellektuellen auf, dass sie mit ihrer Unterschrift unter diesen Aufruf Solidarität mit den Arbeitern von Jadrankamen ausdrücken und ihren Kampf unterstützen!
